| Danny
Freemantle – Exercise Physiology, Sports Nutrition, Sports Massage
and Recovery; Director, Divine Wellbeing Adv. Dip. Yoga Teaching, Dip. Nutrition, Dip. Rem. Mass., Dip. Sports Ther., Dip. Rem Ther., Ass. Dip. Health Sci. Sport and Exercise. Danny began his yoga journey at the age of 16 after reading a book on Pranayama (breath practices) called the Hindu-Yogi Science of Breath (Yogi Ramacharaka, 1905). After experimenting with the practices, Danny became fascinated by the (to him) previously unheard of potentials for increasing health and optimising the human experience. Following on with study of sports science at university, informal study in Kung Fu, Tai Chi and Chi Gung, Danny continued the search for a broad understanding of expanded human potential. Travel to Sydney in 1996 led to more studies over a nine-year period and diplomas in remedial massage, sports therapies, remedial therapies and nutrition as well as studies in naturopathic and herbal medicine. The highlight of these studies was the completion of an advanced diploma of health in yoga teaching, completed in 2004. During studies, Danny has applied his growing knowledge, working in the fitness industry as a gym instructor and coordinator, personal trainer and fitness class instructor, swim coach and resort activities supervisor amongst a variety of other occupations. Danny has been providing remedial massage services professionally since 1997 and teaching yoga since 1999. The culmination of the gathering of these ancient wisdoms has led Danny to open a yoga studio and natural health centre in his hometown of Wagga Wagga in 2005. The studio provides a variety of yoga class options for all capacities as well as services in massage therapy, nutritional and herbal medicine, holistic counselling and yoga and exercise therapy. |
