Exciting young cycling prospect, Jeremy Scott, has added to his list of cycling achievements through being awarded the Under 17 General Classification award at the New Caledonia 4 Day Track meet, held in New Caledonia from 24-27 November.

Jeremy, a member of the Southern Sports Academy Cycling Squad, competed across a range of disciplines at the meet and in an outstanding display of consistency, he managed to finish no lower than 2nd in all events he contested.

The New Caledonia Track meeting is held annually and attracts the best young riders from France, Switzerland, Japan, New Caledonia, New Zealand and Australia. Jeremy participated as part of the six person Cycling NSW team, which was hand-picked by NSW coaching staff.

In what is shaping as a crucial year for Jeremy, he showed his versatility during all days of the meet, mixing success in the sprint events along with excellent performances in his preferred endurance based track events. The New Caledonia meet served as a great start to the track season for Jeremy, where he is hoping to once again perform well at the State Track Championships in December and January. Jeremy gained state selection in 2009 and is hoping to once again wear the sky blue at the National championships early in the New Year.

Jeremy is being tutored by the Southern Sports Academy coaching team of Iain Hume (Head Coach) and Nigel Irvine (Asst Coach).
